Temperatures here this weekend were:
Besides washing my car, I took the time to return my last Christmas gift. It was some Sapphire/ Amethyst/Moonbeam shower gel from Bath & Body Works. I mean a nice gift, but I just will never use it and I'd rather take a look at some new products. I hadn't been there lately - but did you know Valentine's Day is coming up? Look out rose/candlelight shower gel displays! I knew I wanted something from the C.O. Bigelow line because I like the packaging and it will look good in my bathroom. I like their Mentha line, but I thought I'd think "outside of the box" and get a new scent. I'm usually a Rosemary Mint/Lavender person, but nothing really caught my attention from that area. Instead, I went with the Lime & Coriander Body Cleanser. What a great scent! I love it! It's going to be great for when spring actually gets here.
Another thing about it - and I don't know if I'm just weird about these things, but I like how it smells with my body lotion. Right now I'm using St. Ives Collagen Elastin because it's a subtle scent and moisturizes well. I've had bad experiences in the past where a shower gel and a body lotion smell great separately but when they mix - sick! The #1 culprit lotion for me was always the Olay Quench Body Lotion. Something about it just always made a good shower gel smell awful. But I can safely safe the Lime & Coriander does not present this problem.

On a recent trip to Sephora, I stopped into a Bath & Body Works because well, I hadn't been there in a while. The first thing I noticed was "whoa! new packaging!" Question: How do you know you're in a recession? Answer: Bath & Body Works now charges the same amount for 10oz shower gel as they did for 12oz. But they were so clever! Putting it in those stylish new bottles. I actually think they really improved the look, at the expense of the product. But besides the price issue, I'm ok with 10oz. Usually I can't get through a B&B shower gel in one season anyway (i.e I still have half a pumpkin shower gel laying around here somewhere...
So I also stopped in there recently because I needed some hand soap...I was planning on perhaps splurging and getting a Molton Brown hand soap, but I couldn't bring myself to do it when I realized that I could get three nicely scented B&BW hand soaps for less than half the price. Anyway, the new packaging was long overdue! And I agree with Lauren on the ten ounces being a better amount per season. I would also like to RIP one of mine and Susan's favorite scents, but I can't remember exactly what it was called at the moment...Kitchen Basil? The green one? Well I missed it because I've been going through a bit of college nostalgia lately, so I asked the B&BW lady about it and she said it was GONE. Maybe I should also ask my sister since she was working there over Christmas. As a result, I received a lot of the C.O. Bigelow Lemon travel size pieces from her.
Kitchen Herb is dead?? I went over to the handsoaps - but then remembered how much they dry out my skin. I won't commit to them until at least April when I can afford the hand dryness. But I loved that scent. I used to babysit at a house where the mom had the coolest kitchen and an herb garden outside and she used kitchen herb. That's where I really fell in love with it.
